Educational Services Disclaimer

Happy Child Now LLC provides online parenting education and home-based support strategies. Happy Child Now is not a healthcare provider, not a therapy service and not a clinical treatment provider, and we are not licensed or regulated as any of those things.

Mark Goble holds an academic doctoral degree (PhD). He is not a state-licensed physician, clinical psychologist, therapist or mental health professional.

What any family gets out of this depends on taking part, doing the work, and the home it is done in. Where a parent describes their own experience, that is one family's account. We hold no data on what a typical family experiences, and we claim none.

1. This is education, not healthcare

Happy Child Now provides parenting education. It is not therapy, not counseling, not psychotherapy, not medical care, and not mental health treatment.

Nothing on this website, in the masterclass, in the Happy Child Now Program, in the live education training sessions, in the live Question and Answer sessions, in any email, or in any other material we provide is:

·       a medical, psychiatric, psychological or clinical diagnosis

·       a treatment for any condition, disorder, illness or symptom

·       a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional who knows your child

·       a recommendation to start, stop, delay or change any treatment

We do not diagnose. We do not treat. We do not prescribe.

Nothing we provide is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, disorder or clinical condition.

2. No professional or clinical relationship is created

Using this website, attending the masterclass, enrolling in the Program, or taking part in a live education training session or a live Question and Answer session does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, counselor-client or any other professional clinical relationship between you and us, or between you and Mark Goble.

Answers given during group sessions are general educational information given in a group setting. They are not individual clinical assessment, diagnosis or treatment advice, and they are not tailored professional advice about your child, however specific your question may be.

3. About Mark Goble's qualifications

Mark Goble holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Education, University of London.

He is not a licensed or registered psychologist, psychiatrist, physician, therapist or counselor, and he does not hold a clinical license in any jurisdiction. Where the title "Dr." is used, it refers to an academic doctoral degree only.

He does not provide clinical services and does not present himself as qualified to do so.

4. What the techniques are

The Happy Child Now Program teaches techniques that include a practice derived from Reiki, simplified for a parent to learn and apply, and a breathing and relaxation technique. You apply them yourself, at home, with your own child.

Reiki and related practices are classified as complementary and alternative approaches. They are not conventional medical treatment, and mainstream scientific evidence for them is limited and of mixed quality. We do not claim they treat, cure or manage any condition.

Please read this before you learn any technique from us

Mark Goble is not a licensed physician or surgeon, and he is not licensed by any state to practice medicine, psychology, therapy or any other healing art.

His training is academic. He holds a PhD in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Education, University of London, awarded in 2011, and he has spent the years since developing and teaching this material to parents.

The practices we teach, including those derived from Reiki and the breathing and relaxation techniques, are alternative or complementary to the healing arts that states license. They are not a substitute for any of them. These services are not licensed by the state, they are not required to be, and they are provided for educational purposes only.

You are free to seek the services of a licensed physician or healing arts practitioner at any time, and we would encourage you to where your child's health is concerned.

5. Medication

Nothing we provide is a recommendation to start, stop, reduce or change any prescribed medication.

If your child takes prescribed medication, continue exactly as prescribed and speak to the prescribing doctor before making any change. Never make a change based on anything you learn from us.

6. Research we cite

We cite published research by independent third parties. Those researchers, authors and institutions have no connection to Happy Child Now. They have not endorsed, reviewed or approved the Program, and citing their work does not imply that they support it.

Research about other populations, other methods or other settings is not a claim about what the Happy Child Now Program will do for your child.

We use published research to explain the problem. We never use it to prove our solution. Where we cite a study about stress, attention or child development, that study is background. It is not evidence that the Happy Child Now Program works, it has not been done on our program, and no researcher or institution we cite has tested, reviewed, endorsed or approved anything we teach. Most of them have never heard of us.

The Happy Child Now Program has not been the subject of a clinical trial, and we do not claim it has.

Where we refer to Mark Goble's 2011 doctoral research, that research tested an earlier version of the approach, with children aged eight to twelve, in Mexico. It is provenance. It is not a claim about results for participants in the Program.

7. Results

We make no promise about what will happen to your child.

What we promise is what we deliver: the material, the sessions, and what you will learn. Every family, every child and every situation is different.

About the stories you may have seen or heard. Where a parent describes their experience of working with Mark, that is one person's account of their own family. It is not a typical result, it is not an average, and it is not a prediction of anything.

We will go further than most, because you deserve the honest version. We do not have data showing what a typical family experiences, so we do not claim any. We have not run a study, we have not measured outcomes across our participants, and until we have, no story we show you should be read as evidence of what usually happens. If that ever changes, we will publish the actual figures alongside the stories rather than leaving you to guess.

Whatever you get out of this depends on what you put into it. We can teach you the techniques. We cannot apply them for you. Any change in your home depends on you actually doing the work, consistently, with your own child, over time, and on the many things in your family's life that we neither see nor control. A parent who watches the videos and applies nothing should expect nothing.

We do not guarantee any particular result, and we have never sold one.

8. If your child is at risk

If your child is in crisis, is at risk of harming themselves or someone else, or you are worried about their immediate safety, this is not the right first step.

Contact your doctor, your local emergency services, or a crisis service today. In the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In the UK, call 111, or the Samaritans on 116 123. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number.

Please get help now, and come back to us another time.

9. Your responsibility

You are responsible for deciding whether anything we teach is appropriate for you and your child, and for how you apply it. If you are unsure, speak to a qualified professional who knows your child before you begin.
